Lexie the wonder Rottweiler! She knows the commands 'sit', 'lay down, and 'speak'. And she does 'speak' to you as well as her toys. One of her favorite warm weather games is to paddle the water in a dog wading pool and 'speak' to the water coming out of the hose. Another favorite game is to toss a jolly ball dog toy into the air and fetch it. She'll also lay the toy at your feet and woof to let you know it's your turn to throw it for her again. She's a very relational and personable rottweiler. She is not a guard dog and has no interest in protecting a yard as she is sweet and friendly, especially to men, but like women as well. She lost an apparently good home due to incompatibility with a pesky Jack Russell terrier. Her family kept the little one and gave Lexie up hoping another suitable home would adopt this amazing girl. Lexie is adjusting well to life at this rural rescue. She does have high expectation of a home: personal attention, focused play time, and walks with her people. She is an obedient, affectionate, and amusing companion dog for a strong and devoted new person, couple, or family. Another dog in the family should be male and at least her size of about 75 lbs. She would also be happy as an only dog as long as she gets quality play time with her family. She's very well house trained. She is middle aged and has a hint of white in her pretty muzzle.
